About Me

I’m a Pilates & movement practitioner with robust problem-solving skills for special conditions and movement mechanics. Special areas of interest include articular health and function as well as mobility in functional rage and increasing tissue capacities around that. With proven experience in public speaking as well as teaching the Pilates method, kinematics and applied musculoskeletal anatomy.

Before my life as a Pilates and movement practitioner, for the better part of a decade, I dedicated myself to my career as a fine dining chef, both here in Australia and in Europe. Years of 60-plus hour weeks being hunched over a bench, led to chronic lower back pain and forced me to wear a brace on a daily basis just to accomplish simple tasks. My physiotherapist recommended I take up Pilates to combat the damage. I quickly developed a passion for the discipline, which in turn prompted me to enrol at National Pilates Training and obtain my Diploma in 2012.

I truly believe that every single person deserves a chance at living their best life just like I had the opportunity to do so in 2012, which has led me to help people to participate fully in their own life through the Pilates Method and so over the course of the last few years I have been developed a multifaceted workspace exercise health program that can be participated in many different workspaces from Hospitality to the Corporate worker.

In 2020 I also launched The let me take a selfie podcast, which is a self-health podcast purely to enrich and educate the community on a multitude of topics that can improve our health and wellness and not always having to commit more to your day to achieve that.

The rest of my working week is filled out with instructing tailored Pilates sessions at Aligned for Life Pilates Melbourne as well as holding positions in the health and conditioning teams for Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance and Melbourne City FC. As well as presenting professional development workshops for the Pilates industry and being a part of the faculty for National Pilates Training.

In the past I have also worked with local Athletes from the Western Crusaders American Football club and Australian Ballet School as well as national representatives for the Australian Outback Women’s Gridiron team and the Under 19’s Socceroos to help support their strength and mobility. Which has also been a great honour to be apart their movement journey.
